This page explains what data may be collected when you visit CoreTemps, who collects it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
CoreTemps ("we", "us") is operated by Anders Guttormsen, Ekvägen 11D, 448 33 Floda, Sweden. For any privacy question, contact us at maland9903@outlook.com.
Data we collect ourselves
We do not collect personal data ourselves. We store one preference in your browser's localStorage — whether you prefer °C or °F. It never leaves your device and is removed when you clear your browser data.
We do not run analytics, do not log visits to our servers beyond what our hosting provider records for operational and security reasons, and do not have user accounts.
Lawful basis for processing
- LocalStorage unit preference — "strictly necessary" for the feature you explicitly requested (the unit toggle). No consent needed under the UK GDPR or PECR.
Who else receives your data
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — our hosting and CDN. Cloudflare logs basic request data (IP, request path, headers) for security and reliability. See https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.
International transfers
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, is based in the United States. It relies on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and certification under the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework.
How long data is kept
- Your localStorage preference: until you clear it.
- Cloudflare request logs: typically up to 30 days.
Your rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, with no effect on the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
To exercise any of these rights, email maland9903@outlook.com.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be flagged in the consent banner. The "last updated" date at the top reflects when this version was published.
